The following are the key points for replacing and maintaining the conveyor belt of a large meat slicer, for reference:
1、 Safety preparation
1. Power off locking: Cut off the power supply of the equipment before operation, hang a warning sign, and lock the energy isolation device (such as a lockbox).
2. Protective equipment: Wear cut resistant gloves, goggles, and non slip shoes to avoid contact with sharp parts.
3. Clean the environment: Clean up the oil stains and minced meat around the equipment to ensure that the work area is dry and tidy.
2、 Dismantling of old belt
1. Release tension: Use a tool (such as a tension adjusting wrench) to gradually loosen the tensioning device to avoid injury caused by spring rebound.
2. Disassemble the protective plate: Remove the conveyor belt protective cover and guide plate, mark the installation sequence of the components for resetting.
3. Remove the old belt: Slowly extract the old belt from between the driving roller and the driven roller, taking care not to scratch the coating on the roller surface.
3、 New belt installation
1. Matching specifications: Confirm that the new belt material (food grade polyurethane/PVC), width, and tooth pitch are compatible with the original equipment.
2. Positioning: Lay the new belt parallel to the track, ensuring that the belt body is not twisted; First, insert it into the tooth groove of the driving roller, and then pull it to the driven roller.
3. Tension calibration: Adjust the tension bolt evenly and use a tension meter to test (usually 40-60N/cm) to avoid motor overload or belt cracking caused by excessive tension.
4、 Debugging and testing
1. Manual test run: Rotate the drive wheel to confirm that the belt runs smoothly without deviation or abnormal noise.
2. No load operation: Test the machine at low speed (≤ 10r/min) with power on, observe the centering of the belt, and adjust the guide wheel if necessary.
3. Load test: Gradually increase the meat material, check the tensile performance of the belt and the firmness of the joint (the joint needs to be made of stainless steel buckle or hot-melt welding).
5、 Maintenance points
1. Daily cleaning: Immediately rinse with neutral cleaner below 40 ℃ after shutdown, and do not use high-pressure water to directly irradiate the bearing seal position.
2. Regular inspection: Check the wear of the belt body (crack depth ≤ 1mm) and the parallelism of the roller (tolerance ± 0.5mm) every week.
3. Lubrication specifications: Only add food grade lubricating grease to the drive shaft bearings (once every 3 months), and it is strictly prohibited for grease to come into contact with the surface of the conveyor belt.
Notes:
-Daily inspection of belt tension in the first week after replacement, due to the extension period of the new belt.
-Avoid using sharp tools to clean the stuck meat chips and prevent scratching the surface.
-Record the replacement time and batch number, and establish a preventive maintenance file.
Through standardized operation and meticulous maintenance, the lifespan of the conveyor belt can be extended to 1.5-2 years, reducing downtime losses caused by malfunctions.
